Army Photographic Competition

In 2009, I entered the Army Photographic Competition. The first image below, Breather, won the Best Portrait category. This was my first competition entry so was rather surprised (and pleased). The images were taken throughout the summer of 2009 at various locations. This is the first "collection" I put together, and means a lot to me. It shows the beginnings of my fascination with "People".

I don't pretend that this is a perfect set, or that when I took them/put them together I knew what I was doing. But this was when I really got bitten by the bug, and felt it was something that was going to be a big part of my life, and found a real love for capturing what was around me, rather than just taking snapshots.
